    well i took 16 gua wire, and wired the orange and red wires both right to the battery and nothing changed. the weather channel is stupid quiet and when i have vol up and squelch up its also...really quiet

    how would that make it any louder? there is no more simplistic source of power then both wires straight to the battery. god what the hell!

    its not about not following instructions, but just think about wiring for a sec. how can stuffing the power wires into some fuses be better than having the power wires attached to the battery

    well i went and connected the red to the cig lighter and the orange to the dome fuse and it didnt get any louder. i was picking up some chatter on 19 and i could sort of hear what they were saying and it was pretty cool and i would love to be able to actually use the radio, but i again had to have my ear up to the speaker on the dam thing

    well i have wired it 3 or 4 different ways all with the same results. if everyone is out of ideas im just going to get an external speaker...

    I would run one wire to a 15-20amp non constant fuse and one to the battery.

    Is it tuned properly?
    Is the power making enough contact?
    Is the ground have a good enough connection?
    Have you played with the antenna?

    no harness. Had to build my own and get the relay hooked back up.

    My dad and i are really picky about wiring, we soder all connections and tuck wires good.

    No..at least choose a different CO..Icons ride pretty rough i have read. They are great for high speed stuff but not trail riding.

    Wth is wrong with the OME stuff? Those are great.
