    Guys,

Just notice that they have a special offer of $750 cash back ending midnight 3/5.

I have bought many new cars before but never with any special offers. Do I negotiate the price first (including OTD)? Then Toyota will send me $750 later in the mail or $750 is part of the OTD? I think I know the answer but just making sure.

Still in the borderline of waiting for 2013 or buy it now.

    TIA,
    tntrac

dealer will probabaly have you sign over the 750 to lower the otd price. Do not let them use the 750 to lower the price during the battle over price. infact i would just deal with the internet department to get the best deal first, before you go in.

I bought my '11 last year when Toyota was offering $500 Customer Cash Back. We negotiated the OTD price, and after negotiations were complete I referenced the $500 Cashback. Sales first tried to say this was included in the OTD, but after insisting and the typical "trip to the sales manager" I got the $500 off.

I'd negotiate price first and if the salesman doesn't inform you of the cash back during negotiations then insist it be taken off the negotiated price.

I've been writing about the $750 instant rebate (you may call it cash back if you wish) since my first post on this forum. The promotion began on President's Day weekend. I bought my Tacoma PreRunner SR5 for $500 under factory invoice, THEN took off the $750.

In Dec Toyota had $1000 rebate on 2012's and it came on top of any deal you did with the Dealer.

WTF has happened? I let the deal passed and today coming home for lunch my suv broke down going down hill on the freeway!!!! It was rolling and I needed to changed lane, but no power. At first I thought it was a flat tire but I realized it was rolling too fast to have a flat.

Tried to start a few times but it wouldn't stay on (it cranked). Got towed home and poured more gas since my gas gauge never work (the odometer reset indicated I still have about 50 miles left).

Going to get a rental car first and see what is my next step.

Btw, its a 1999 honda passport with 122k miles (Isuzu brand).

Become a costo member, buy it from the auto program you can prob get it under Invoice. You'll deal with a fleet manager as apposed to a salesman. Fleet make money from volume, not individual car sales. I've heard great things about costco. I'll be doing that for my next car.

Quick question guys. The offer ends midnight 3/5. Does that mean it is still valid for me on the west coast? Some dealers are giving different answers?

Just bought the truck and is sitting on the driveway :). Too late for pics but I will get it for you guys tomorrow. Btw, its super white.

Dealer tried to pull a quick one on me. I have excellent credit score. Dealer didn't even ask me how much I want to put down, etc. He just did the paperwork and had me financed the whole OTD price of $26800 with 3.25%.

I said "slow down and lets talk about giving me the option to bring in my loan check from the credit union." So he noted to give me 5 business days. I can get 1.99% at the credit union. I have to call tomorrow to expedite the loan.
