    Im ganna be going to the dealer tomarrow to get new denso plug wires, and was thinking of seeing about a new o2 A/F sensor. Bc of my verry crappy gas mileage, and rough idle. Should I?

    if you dont have a cel..........nothing likely wrong with the o2 sensor. yoiu can always try if you must tho.

    Alright. But I know of a couple people that haven't had a CEL, and were getting 12-14mpgs. And as soon as they got a new sensor it jumped back up to 19-20. But I will try wires first see what happens. Maybe clean my TPS and then check my mpg's. But if it doesn't get better, I think I should change my o2.

    O2 sesnro shouldn't give you bad gas mileage. It just monitors the CAT effeciency. The AFR sensor will be the one to change.

    Thats the one Im talking about! If it was going bad, could it also give me a rough idle at stop lights in gear? Almost like it is running lean.

    I have never heard of an AFR causing a rough idle.

    K, But If my mpg's dont get better. My next geuss is, faulty A/FR sensor. I think I should replace it anyways. Going on 110K miles!

    Those sensors are $170 a pop from URD. Imagine what they will cost from the dealer. That's a pretty expensive investment for an unknown cause. You should be throwing a code if one of those is bad.

    Yep! I know. I wont replace them, yet. I know a place were I can get them for 140. But thats still spendy! I just was wondering, when or if I do change them, should I change both AFR sensors?

    If your not throwing a code, your gonna have to replace both. Right now, your kinda chaseing a gost.....not knowing exactly what the issue is. Try the wires first and see what that does for ya.
