It's ok except for the fact my girlfriend beat me by 9 burpees, that woman has lungs.
We had a similar WOD tonight.
Strength was 20 min to find a 1 rep max snatch. I got 135, I'll take it. My technique still needs alot of work.
    WOD:
    3 rounds
    300m row
    20 wall balls @20lbs
    10 pull ups
I got 9:51, I'm happy my quads and shoulders were shot from yesterday.

Fuck man that's the exact same WOD I did yesterday. I got done in like 15 though. My arms were shot and I wasn't gonna half ass or do assisted pullups, so I had to take breaks...

Ya it was from the main site. I would have been quicker, it's just my hands were super sweaty so I couldnt get a good grip on the pull up bar so I had to break em up. Switched bars on the last round and was able to do the unbroken. We did a nasty WOD on Monday. It was 21-18-15-12-9-6-3. Front Squats @135 and sit ups. It was terrible. Took me 19 minutes, so my legs were dead today.

I'm still fairly new to this whole thing too... Only been going a couple months and my body responds REALLY SLOW by way of muscle growth and stuff, hence the reason I am trying strict paleo to see if my diet is my big limiting factor or not. I mean, I had times flirting with 40 min when I started. Those same workouts would take me mid to high 20s now...

Ya I have only been doing it since late October. I was in decent shape to start, but some WOD's can kick my ass and some are right up my alley. It's a blast though I love the atmosphere. So much better the just going to a gym, just didnt have the same motivation.
Enjoy the Paleo diet though. I'm 2 weeks in going strict, the first week was tough but now it's not too bad at all. However I'm definitely looking forward to drinking beer again though.

I'm one week down now... I'm 6'2", started this paleo thing at 194, I now weigh 188. Don't see any difference. Hopefully it's all worth it

I'm 6'3" started Paleo at 189, dropped to 178 after first week, wasnt eating enough. Now after 2 weeks I'm at 180-181, eating more now and working out harder. Did you take a before pictures? Thats what my girlfriend and I did, curious to see the change after 50 days.

Ya especially that snatching 135 is my 1 rep max. I'm doing that WOD at noon today. I'll post back with results. I'm hoping to do 135 maybe 10 times. But who knows. I cut my hand surfing yesterday. And the cut is in the webbing between my thumb and index finger, so this should be interesting.

Just completed 12.2. Got 38 reps. 135 was my previous PR for the snatch, so doing it 8 times I was pretty happy. It felt like my technique got better as the WOD went on. I'd like to do this one again, just dont think it will fit into my schedule.

Nelson, I hear ya man. I was also really reluctant to not participate in the open b/c of the oly lifts (aside from deads and f/b squats) but said fuck it.

Congrats! 38 is a really good #. I'm hoping I can do something in that range tomorrow.

good for you man, i don't have health insurance so i kinda have to play it safe sometimes...haha

i'm good with all the oly lifts except the snatch, my shoulder is "injured" but i'm still strong and can push it pretty hard, just dont want to risk it...

TIE! lol. Got 38 this morning.

Heres my first twenty something. Its about 2mins long. GF is kinda retarded w/ the camera, so forgive the angle.
    th_VIDEO0011_fa4f583c32aa698724d60329d4109218fbdb2c16.jpg

And if you have more time to waste, here is almost 7 minutes of me struggling.
    th_VIDEO0012_be91d8a4501f5a1a961903a0dbca2690289f6f90.jpg

and for those who dont know what its supposed to look like, if you want to see perfect form from the current worldwide leader, check this video. He's on the right side. The whole video isnt the snatches, so you could probably fast forward a minute or so. He never seems to slip. That just goes to show how important having proper technique (and training with it) is, regardless of the sport.

Good job. The snatch is just awkward. I was pulling the weight as high as I could then I would just spread my legs out to catch it then press it out from just above my head. I really want to do this WOD again, I know and I can better my score just don't have the time to do so.

Thanks! Thats true...and I look at it this way...its a baseline for next year

    Nice work!

I'm excited to see what #3 is going to be.

And I just got word that I'll be flying during #4. I leave super early thursday am and dont return until sunday afternoon. I havent figured out how I'm going to go about getting that one in. If it's similar to #1, I guess I can video it. Sucks that I have to wait to find out...eh, I'll figure something out. :(
