whats hurting me the most?

    ok so i have a 95 taco 4x4 2.7 4cyl... and ive got procomp lt325/60r18 tires on 18" eagle alloy rims.... the truck has a trailmaster 6" dropbracket lift and a large body lift.... so she is pretty slow on the highway... if it is windy at all and im driving into it, i cant even maintain the speed limit in 5th gear and sometimes not even in 4th if the wind is blowing hard enough...
    i was driving home from work this morning and i had it in 4th gear with the pedal mashed to the floor for at least 30 miles of straight highway and couldnt even get my rpms to go above 3500.... i do not have a working speedometer but im guessing i was going somewhere between 70 and 80... but proble around 75........ if i put it into 5th gear it slows back down to around 2000rpm which is around 55mph... this was with minimal wind...

    i understand that having that much lift is going to block alot of wind... not to mention the tires being over a foot wide...and heavy...

    so since im in the situation...lol.... im wondering if it will do me any justice to get more of a street tire that weighs less... the procomp tires weigh about 76lbs a piece... so i was looking at some toyo tires on ebay that only weigh 60lbs each....
    that would be roughly 65 pounds all together....

    would the 16lbs pertire decrease do me any justice???? or should i do that in combination with a shorter tire????

    no sir she is still stock.... i actually shredded my rear axle last year and had it replaced with one from a 98 taco with 80,000 miles on it...

    im figuring having it regeared will cost an assload of money... since its a 4x4...

    im guessing 4.10:1 as thats the most common.... but i could be wrong...

    First digit:

    • A = 7.5" ring gear
    • B = 8" ring gear
    Next two digits:

    • 01 = 3:42
    • 02 = 3:58
    • 03 = 4:10
    • 04 = 4:56
    • 05 = 3:15
    • 06 = 3:91
    • 07 = 4.30
    Last digit:

    • A = 2 Pinion, Open
    • B = 4 Pinion, Open
    • C = 2 Pinion OEM Limited Slip

    ok ive been looking around for regearing threads... and the few that i have read about have regeared to the 4:10 gears.... so since i already have the 4:10 gearing stock... what would i regear to?
