2012 Tacoma. The 2012 Jeep is a lot better than 2011, but almost every single factor leans in favor to the Tacoma.

lol i said it rides like a caddy compared to the tacoma. it's still a "truck"

but yeah, a lot smoother than my tacoma. i think we paid $23k'ish? only option is basically the hardtop and auto tranny. got the 18" sahara wheels/tires for $125 and sold the sport wheels for $125, lol!

    Tacoma for real life use.
A lifted wrangler on the highway is a death trap.
Dollar for dollar I'd go for the Tacoma.
I love both but for a daily driver,Tacoma wins. Your not throwing crap in a jeep like a Tacoma.winters suck in a jeep when you don't have a hard top.been there done that never again.im always tempted to buy a new 4 door because I already had 6 Toyota pick up(3 tacos) but I'm not spending $34k for a jeep.its still a jeep

the only thing you have to go on is the previous models, its the earned reputation... and new and improved doesn't really mean anything... everyone claims that with every change they make.

I have a 97 wrangler sport 4.0L manual. Love the Jeep, been good this far (83k) I get about 17 mpg as it is. Never been stuck anywhere. Just bought my first Tacoma (2004 double cab 2wd 3.4L) now I'm selling my Jeep

4dr TRD for me....as my DD and family, it's the best of both worlds. Would I love to have a trail jeep?? Heck yeah...but that's not going to happen anytime soon...maybe when I retire in 19 years...lol

I came from a 2001 Jeep wrangler. Have to say, the jeep was fun during the summer to put the top down and take the doors off, but apart from that the tacoma beats it in every other way. My wrangler only got about 15mpg compared to my tacoma which is getting about 20. The wrangler could only fit two people comfortably. The wrangler was unbelievably loud on the interstate, and very uncomfortable. And you have no useful cargo area in the rear. the reliability is what threw me over the edge however. I'll take the tacoma any day.

What do you mean faster? More HP doesn't automatically mean it's faster. They say in the video it runs to 60 in 8.4 seconds which is slower than the V6 Tacoma. And while it's down on HP the Tacoma actually has a little more torque which to me is more important in a truck.

I still like the 4 door Rubicons but wouldn't want one was my every day vehicle.
