As far as I know the tri-Y design of the thorely's is far better than the 4-1 design of all the other brands. These are the only tri-Y headers iv found other than northwest off road header or what ever they were called. But those aren't made anymore

On an 8 cylinder, this might be correct (arguable that the tri y design is better) - but on a 6 cylinder, they are both 3 into 1. I doubt there is much performance difference, if any at all, between them. Fitment and materials can be much different also though. JBA's are made from 409 stainless, where the Thorley's are 304 stainless - plus the Thorley's come ceramic coated. Both of those make the extra cost well worth it.

Well I'm looking at the 4cyl ones and there tri-y. And on the 4stroke cycle try-y with equal length pipes is the best way. But yeah the 6cyl I have no idea what they look like

    Hah - didn't think of that :)

I would do Thorleys just for the material differences from the JBA (not even counting that they're also coated). 409 stainless is crap - especially if you live where you get snow. They'll corrode just like mild steel.

Hey OP, any updates? My truck is getting louder, running slower by the day it seems... I'd like to pull the trigger on a header soon.

interested in long tube headers for a 2nd gen, with simulators and gasket.

That said, my interest is tentative, I've just sold my house and I'm looking to buy a new place so my budget is totally up in the air. Don't put me on any lists please. I'll just try to keep an eye on this and when it goes live I might make a rash decision and just pull the trigger no matter how bad an idea it is...

    Thanks,
    Kyle
