If your running 55watt ballasts, then if your wanting the 5-6k look you have to use a set of 8k bulbs. The 55's burn hotter and the 8k will burn at about a 6k.

Hey guys I need some advice. When I go off road I have a decent amount of weight in my bed. I was planning on getting the All Pro Expedition springs. Is there a better alternative? Haven't found one yet.

Haha, so I just picked up a newish tent off craigslist, while I was out searching for an ATM in lemon grove, I stop to get gas at a Chevron, while I'm there I decide the truck is filthy so I'll pay the 10$ for the car wash while I get gas...So i drive in and its one of those ones that just has an articulating arm that sprays a bunch of different shit and you just stay parked...

So it does all the soaps and stuff, started on the high pressure wash...it does the front, and drivers side, then i see it spinning behind the truck and then the thing bumps into the truck! I'm like WTF!! then it just stops, skips everything and says to pull forward for air dry...mind you, I still have half a soap covered truck...so I pull around and tell the dude inside what happened, so he walks out and puts in a code for another wash...EXACT same thing happens...then he just kinda stands there..."uh..I dont know what to tell you man..." So I'm like..uh..how about a refund bro...and he has the nerve to say something about how i still got a car wash...I'm about to call up chevron and I'm saying i want to talk to a manager when he finally just gives me 10$ back and says sorry...so (luckily) I was able to use the free air/water to get the majority of the suds off the side of the truck...but man!

and just to note, it said 7' clearance and NOTHING about types of vehicles and all that...

It F***ed up the first time, so i ran it through a second time after the dude came out and put in another code for me, and it F***ed up again!!

It was, thank god, a plastic coated articulating arm, and just left a little like plastic residue that I was able to rub off, right on the bumper, but after it whacking my truck TWICE, I sure as hell wasn't gonna run it through again!

That's what I get for washing the truck anywhere else! Found a super nice one off the 805 and H street, 11$ and its a super nice wash, one of those ones on a track...I usually only go there...but every so often I dont feel like driving down to mexico, and try somewhere else...any nothing I've found is that good!

Except Mario, obviously :D. But I can't afford 100$ every other week to keep the truck clean hehe

I don't really have access to a hose lol. Apartment complex sucks...street parking...unless i wanna run up and down 3 flights of stairs to fill buckets LOL. Once I move to a better place I fully plan on cleaning my own car then :D

Yea, there's one right by my place, but here's the thing...I'm pretty F***ing lazy lol, I think that the power washers work super good, and you can get every nook and cranny and actually wash all the crap off, I just HATE drying lol, I always get streaks when I go...because I always seem to pick the hottest day and right when the sun is beating down super hot to wash the truck at one of those places lol. By the time I'm done with half the truck the rest of it is dried and spotted. Sigh, I just can't win

I wash mine at those self service places, there is one near me in north park hillcrest area I wash my truck there like every 2-3 weeks.

Usually no more than $7 and they have a spot free rinse that rocks.. I dont even bother drying anymore.

same boat here my man. I park on the street and have no hose. I go to the do-it-yourself power wash but at off-peak times, like during the night (it's 24hr) and I take a 3gal bucket with me and hand wash it. There are signs everywhere saying "NO BUCKET WASHING" but at night it's not busy and no one cares. Costs $2 for 4min of time Mon-Fri, it's not too bad. I got a big micro-cloth towel to dry....I drag the towel over the truck and it's still kinda wet but the micro-drops just evaporate and leaves it clean.

now washing wheels...that's where I get lazy cause that shit is tedious
