Has anyone looked at the possibility of installing 2 small subs like the 6 3/4 ones JL audio makes in the rear doors of the 2nd gen. double cabs? Seems like this would be a great way to add some low end w/o losing any rear seat space.

Its dark here now but I can snap a few in the morning. It fits perfect when you take out the rear plastic section. And the box is ported, which is just amazing sounding.

Two issues would have to be addressed.

    1) structural rigidity of the subwoofer - you don't want sound energy to be going into shaking the door, you want it moving the cone.

    2) efficient bass performance requires an enclosure of sortsor an infinite baffle arrangement. Small infinite baffle woofers would not produce sufficient bass for most car audio fans (IMO).

Thanks for the pics man, I am thinking about going this route. You say the sub sounds pretty good? I'm not looking for glass breaking low end, just some good bottom end, I listen to pretty much everything, but I am partial to Metal, Pantera, Megadeth, Battlecross, ect. Thanks again for the pic.

Yeah no problem. The sub sounds awesome. It might be just an 8 inch, but its so damn high quality that its sounds like 2 10's. You just have to give it enough power and it will sound real nice!
