    Hey guys,

Well I had to say good bye to my 2010 TRD Sport this week, she was an awesome truck that I'm going to miss.

With that being said I've been searching around for a used second gen Tacoma that I could get for a good price. In my search I found a stock 2006 TRD Off Road Access cab with 220,000Km (140,000ish Miles). The asking price is $16,000 for the truck.. I know that Tacomas retain their value like no other truck out there, but how much do you guys really think the truck would be worth?

In fairness, the truck has been maintained, never been in a accident and has new rubber.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Sounds reasonable to me if everything adds up :)

16k is to much for a 2006 with 140k miles. You can find a better deal. Also is it 4x4, prerunner?

Offer 12k. and explain it like this. There is No warrenty. Not an extended. Not even federal emmisions warrenty. So, if it does happen to bite u in the ass, u could spend the rest of that money on fixing the crap. like trans, or cats ( 500 is the cheapest ive seen for direct fit manifold) (a piece by the way) so remember. with high miles comes higher risk. not saying that the tacoma gods dont offer an exellant product, but you have no idea what the truck was used for and when spending that much money, you cant just take thier word for it. CYA ( cover your ass). and the cheaper it comes, the More Mods you can do brohambo

oh, and by the way. when i bought mine, i had to put in a new transmission in 2 months after i bought it. toyota wanted 4k, and 950 to instal it. found a used one on car-parts for 1.3k (11k miles, Out of an 07) and had it installed for 650$. so, try and get it lower man

    Thanks fellas,

    It's a 4x4 and not a Prerunner.

Yeah, I was on the same train of thought for bringing the price down into the 12-14K range. Going from a new Taco to an old one that will require some TLC will be bit of a change.. But paying it off quick would be nice!

I guess option number 2 would be to go into a 2012 Base 4x4 and pay it out over a longer period. It's a hard choice to make!

    Cheers
