Here is a Dagger ocean yak with all gear for $350 in Central NJ. Nice yak and if your going in the ocean more then flat water might be one to consider. http://cnj.craigslist.org/boa/2884574012.html

Yep. no way to "turn over" like the white water guys do in these type yaks. I have tried in my sisters pool and couldn't do it. even with the help of a friend it's impossible (for me).

If your in the ocean or bay this is a MUST HAVE once you take a wave over the bow and take on some water.

He probably got canned and has been working for free the past 2 days

Scott - I'm 99% sure if you add an engine to a yak you have to register it as a boat

I wouldn't buy anything other than Thule/Yakima. When you're carrying a kayak on your roof at highway speed I would suggest quality equipment. But as far as that style rack, yes. I have a set.

If it says boat on your license yea it counts, but you would still have to register the kayak as a motorized boat according to Boyd.

I had a trolling motor on a row boat and we used to do night booze cruises in barnegat bay. No idea if we needed registration. Had no lights or flotation devices either.

Because quality is important. I worked in the industry.. I know why to spend more money on the right stuff. You can always find used Thule stuff on eBay and shit anyway.

Yea... Boating while intoxicated... Also known as boating...

Never during the busy season. Off season is empty. Never even saw another boat while we were out.

LMAO, taking the boating safety course is what gives your license in PA. They just started the licensing a few years ago. And I'm Grandfathered (except for jetskis). :D
