Welcome. Most of these guys, that go wheeling, have 2wd's but they still get around fine. And get ready to beat on it a little because the next wheeling trip is suppose to be around may sometime. We try to spread the trips out a little to let people order new parts or fix what broke lol.

lol I can understand that. By May, the "new" should have rubbed off. I'm currently looking for places around here, around NOLA, just to have a halfway decent ride.....needless to say, I'm coming up short.

Yea, unless you have private land to run on, then its hard to find a good place to wheel locally.

Your spacer lift will be pretty easy to install. But I will say that if you plan on wheeling your truck seriously you may want to invest in a different lift later on.

Yeah, eventually I will get an actual lift. Let me put it like this, I'm 23yr old E3 in the Marines, who spent 3 years paying out of state tuition for college before saying f-this and enlisting. Good news is, I'm no stranger to work and I'm a good fabricator if I can get the materials and tools, if I don't have them already. Speaking of, anyone know how to weld? I'm thinking about building a roof mounted light rack like a member has on here.

Welcome! We try to have meets every month. Presently I guess we have a feeler for a weekend trip to Sicily Island ORV Park. Actually most of us have two wheel drives, but with the right mods, even the two wheel drive can have a lot of fun! We also have a group called "Cajun Yotas" on FB, you can see most of us there too.

I can. I'm not comfortable with welding on frames yet, but I run a fairly decent bead with a stick welder. Going to be picking up wirefeed here in the next few months, so that might make it even better.

Quick question for all of you out there. It won't be for a while but eventually, possibly during the summer, I will get new tires on the bull. I was wondering what ya'll think would be a better option. Should I stick with 285/70R17, keep a wide tire and go bigger, go with a skinnier tire, or go bigger and skinnier.

For those who don't know I have 2 wheel drive, and I'm asking because I'm not sure what would be the best option for trail riding with 2wd.

So you think I should just stick with 33's on my net set? Also mt vs at always a tough choice.

well if you are a 2wd, there no need for an aggressive MT. if you can get a nice set of AT's it should be ok. if you want sort of a mt/at get some duratracs, they are quiet and have good traction
