Anybody mount an aftermarket back up cam up front?

It's easy enough to do. Has anybody done it? Does anybody have a back up camera mounted up front or any place other than the back? I got one as a gift, but i have the back up cam already. Was thinking of uses for it before I try to sell it.

 

put it in the grille, or the lower valence, that'd be sweet

 

Just brain storming but I guess it would be handy for parking in tight spaces. Would allow you to get as close to something as possible.

 

I would put it on the passenger side under the mirror, facing the pass. Side front tire, then it would be like another set of eyes as the passenger for wheeling...... Lol, just an idea!

 

That's the problem, if I put it in the grill how often do I really need it? I feel like there's potential, but I'm not really sure.

 

Well, if you lived where I live, you would use it everyday trying to get into the tight parking spaces in my apartment parking garage. I swear these spaces were built for Smart Cars only!

if you had a steel plate bumper like the arb it'd be worth it, theres about 7-8 inches of steel you can't see over the hood thats sticking out past your line of sight! i know I've bumped stuff before with my ARB just because it can be hard to judge how far away you actually are

 

Somewhere tucked underneath for crawling over rocks, it can be your offroad spotter to see clearance underneath. Just make sure its somewhere that is tucked and wouldn't get smashed if you slide across a rock

 

I did this on my boss's F150 back in the day.. Costco sells a license plate frame that has a camera in it.. we took the camera out of the frame and mounted it in the grill. Super easy to do. It was only 90$ as well.

 

I was thinking about something like this. You'd probably have to get up under there and clean it before you actually intended to do anything with it though.
