I opened this in Camera Raw and made a WB correction using the trees in the background as the starting point. It's pretty close (remember, snow isn't always pure white).

It's pretty close, but it's still not very attractive.

How do you upgrade if you already have LR3?

You still needed better light. Or I suppose you could try and punch up the color.

Buy the upgrade and install it.

i hate AMD though... do something like this..

(ps graphics card doesnt make a difference when editing photos, its the quality of your monitor, it only makes a difference with motion picture)

spend $80 over your budget and get this.

    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Asus+-+...inum/4566353.p?id=1218492344573&skuId=4566353

it has the exact same processor, more RAM and a bigger HD and youre buying a better brand (im sorry but i hate acer)

looks thinner, has double the battery, and its lighter.

the more ram the better with adobe programs

    or just finance a Mac :p :)

Why the hate for AMD? They are the best bang for the buck in processing.

so ive been in the market for a while now for a smaller alternative to a dslr...something i can take with me virtually everywhere i go so i can always have something with me...

what i want is something (relatively small) ill go as big as a Fuji X-Pro 1

    ~ Fast.. f2 of faster

    ~ preferably a prime 35mm lens

~ interchangeable or not. doesnt matter

    ~ something good

~ budget... whatever gets me what i want.

so ive narrowed it down to a few cameras.

Fuji X-Pro 1 (This is first choice but its practically the price of a 24-70 f/2.8, so this choice is farfetched)

Fuji X100 - I love this thing. 28mm f2 lens. great build quality etc etc but still kinda pricey. but APS-C sensor. thats a major plus

Sony Nex-7 - its pretty much perfect.. still pretty pricey, and its a sony.. not a huge fan

    ---smaller bodies

Leica D-Lux 5 - this camera is extraordinary and comparatively speaking ok priced $799 BUT for such a small camera thats pretty expensive.

Fuji x-10 - great little camera and also a great price!

so what do you guys think? suggestions?

I'm leaning most towards the x-100 or the x-10 i just have a major hard on for both cameras lol.

dont get me wrong.. thats a great camera... but i want a larger sensor and a little bit beefier body. what im looking for is pretty specific. the s100 is too point and shoot ish.

the x10 has almost the exact same zoom range but its an f2-2.8 not f2-f5.9 (bleh :puke: ) and the x10 is magnesium alloy.. thats... plastic. i want something more professional than a s100 withouth the size of an dslr. s100 is amazing dont get me wrong, but not what im looking for, and the s100 doesnt have a hot shoe

i was looking at the G1x but reviews are telling me to steer clear from it
