[and yes I searched but found nothing]

Is the antenna connector to the back of the OEM radio a standard Motorola type plug?

And is it possible to get to the back of the radio to unplug it without removing the radio or otherwise disassembling a lot of stuff?

    I appreciate any help.

Yes, standard plug. I don't think it's possible to get to it without removing the radio. Well, probably possible, but not without less work then removing the radio. The radio is pretty easy to remove. Toughest part is prying the HVAC panel off without scratching the soft plastic panels.

I'm thinking what I wanted to do is not worth taking it all apart. I was hoping I could just reach it from behind. Thanks for the help.

Thanks but no thanks. I have a splitter that you plug the antenna into and then one cable goes to the radio with a Motorola plug and the other to a BNC connector for a scanner so you can use the vehicle antenna for that too. It's just not that important enough for me to take the radio out etc. On my previous vehicle I was able to just reach behind, unplug it, and re-plug everything in with no disassembly.

P.S. If anyone would like to have this, I'd be willing to give it away. But please, only if you are really going to use it.

Remove the passenger side "oh sh*t" handle and you will find the connector for the antenna.

Isn't that way over on the windshield pillar? Not exactly the location for this connector. :notsure:

Have a look. The antenna wire runs through the fender and then up to the pillar where the connector is located. A separate wire runs over to the radio.
