Maybe I could get some help??

I just bought a 2008 KTM 200 xcw used. I have a few questions about the speedo
It seems to accurately display speed but only for a few seconds. When i ride it goes on and off at will.
How do i keep it displaying speed and miles ridden at all times while riding?
Are the white wires in the picture supposed to be connected?
Please help or inform me on information about this/ these problems.

Decided after being out of the game for about a year and a half it was time to get in the game again. The wreck that broke my elbow also jacked my tranny up, so the next time I rode the tranny exploded. Good thing I have a spare.

taco52, i haven't had to work on any speedo gauges but i would check all the connections first. if that doesn't help maybe check out a different forum like thumpertalk.com. hopefully you can find a resolution without having to pay a shop to do it. let us know what happens.

Ill make something up in this section once I get the motor built. Only takes a few 2x4's and a broken tow strap.

Ok so here are a few pics to give you a better idea. Just have to make one side narrower and shorter than the other so it will fold under. And the straps need to be setup so the frame will sit on them. Let me know if you have any other questions.

This one is pretty beat up anymore and I'm planning on making a new and improved. I made a nicer one out of angle iron but a buddy borrowed it and I never got it back.
