Hey, We're heading to Vegas for part 1 of our honeymoon in October. Where should my fiancee and I go to shoot guns? We're looking for a good range that has all sorts of guns from pistols to automatic rifles. She's the one who thought of the idea! I've shot regular hunting rifles so I'm looking for some really cool guns, stuff that isn't available in Canada! I would love to shoot the Desert Eagle and or an AK-47 maybe something bigger!:D

I'm looking for the best bang for our buck! Excuse the pun!

    a. We don't own any guns.
    b. We won't be buying any guns.
    c. I've heard that there are gun ranges, mostly indoor ranges that, if you have money they will let you rent and shoot, as long as you take a brief safety course.
    d. They are quite the tourist attraction in Las Vegas as far as I've heard.

I'm looking for recommendations on ranges

well here in GA most laces you rent the gun and they tell you to have fun...but you need to make sure under federal law that you can legally possess a gun even if youre just renting it. the gun store should know esp in a huge tourist place like vegas

Find a friend that owns guns and ask when they are going to the desert and blast away. Offer to buy ammo, food, drinks, or sex.

I live in Canada. Pistols are Extremely regulated as in, must be stored at your home, locked up and can only be used at a gun range. When transporting pistols you must take a designated route to and from the range and all this must be disclosed to your local Police Department and if you don't and you are caught you face either huge fines or jail time, but I'm not sure which, I think the jail time. We can not buy automatics, all there is are hunting rifles and shotguns and I've shot them all before, I'm looking for a good place to go shoot automatics, pistols and BFG's.

WOW that sucks! I would apply for US citizenship and move to a free state. I would not make it long in Canada.
When in Vegas just ask any hotel where you can go shoot guns and they will oblige and may give you some coupons to offset some of the price.

Yea, that's probably what we'll end up doing but I'm still going to look around for ideas. I think I'll stay in Canada, the states does a lot right but I still like going to the doctors office or the hospital and walking away without a second mortgage! Plus I like kicking the States ass at hockey!;)

Ive been to American Shooters and they have a large variety of different guns to shoot. I shoot at Guns and Ammo Garage. They have a state of the art facility. Not as many guns as AS but they still have a decent selection of rentals. Check out 702shooters.com for other ranges.

Thanks for the offer but, I think I'll stay where I am, I'm quite proud of the fact that I'm Canadian! The cost of living may be cheaper in the states but you also don't quite make the same as us I don't think...so it all works out and we can all make a decent wage up here in Canadia. Also I like the fact that we don't have the right to carry a weapon on our person but that's my own opinion. It doesn't change the fact that I like to shoot guns, I just don't see the point of having one on my person. I think it's the same as someone who drives a jacked up F450 on 44" tires instead of a moderately lifted Taco on 33's, they drive it 'cause they can! Same as owning a pistol, again IMHO.

I liked American Shooters over The Gun Store when I was in LV. Something about the attitude at TGS, as though everyone who goes in there is a foreign national with zero experience...

Expensive, but fun. Maybe a little bit of a tourist trap, but it IS Vegas.

We basically walked in a asked "what's illegal in California".....the guy just grinned and pointed at the wall full of automatic weapons.:D
