While yes, your stock skid will mount to the tg bumper, the mounting location is not the same as stock. The tg install removes the frame exstention to which the skid mounts and replaces it with tg's bolt in x-member. The mounting location on th tg is about an inch lower than stock. The reason you see the design change is because the first design on the tg bumper won't mount to the stock location because it contacts the radiator.

This. Thanks for the clarification Marc.

The R&D is taking longer than anticipated guys, sorry. I am doing these skids on the side of a job and school so please bear with me. Once they are finalized turn around on them will be fairly quick.
These things are a little more complicated then they appear to be. Thanks for everyone's patience.

Haddix, where are you at with these? I'm working on getting stuff together for Moab in May and skids is one of the last things on my list. can you let me know if you will have any available and give me an estimate on shipping to 84075? I might end up just building my own, but you've done a nice mob with these. Have you added a rear support for the belly pan or is it just tied to the factory crossmember and the IFS skid?

I ended up ordering a set of Skid Row skids for my Taco. Snow is melting and I was to go play! Plus my factory skid broke, so that was my excuse to buy some new ones!

I just kind of skimmed through this thread and I might have missed it but does the belly pan protect the transmission and t-case?

Awesome. These are probably the skids I go with then.

I was going to go with skid rows but they are expensive. A full set of skids was going to cost a little over $850 before shipping. Oh and they are 3/16" thick or atleast that is what it says on their site.

Skid Row skids are made from 3/16" steel and powder coated.

I normally despise going through 4Wheel Parts, but they were listed as a distributor, so I bought it from them to save the shipping costs. The prices were as follows:
    Front Skid: $210
    Trans Skid: $210
    Transfer Case Skid: $195

That is actually cheaper than what what is listed on the Skid Row website. They have the Front skid for $306 on their site!.

All 3 skids were in stock in CA and they were going to have them brought to the CO Springs location for free!
