I'm headed out in the morning for a 3 day overland trip to the San Rafael Swell to Prerun the route for the Overnight run that is part of the Cruise Moab event in May. Pretty stoked about it. Should be 5-6 trucks and I'll have my trailer along for the ride as well. Gonna be good to get a taste to get me excited for May.

I'll do my best, but you guys know how it goes when you're the one driving, kinda hard to get lots of pics when you're busy at the wheel.

Our club always hosts the overnighter and it is for sure a highlight of the event.

We've been leading it for just the past few years. I think this is the third or maybe the fourth year. Each year is a slightly different route.

Here's the trails offered at this years events (taken from Rising Suns web site) The Description for this run is the San Rafael Swell one on the list.

This dumb of a question doesn't deserve an answer.

    .
    .
ok fine. First off, nothing like EJS. EJS is a total circus and an epic display of douche-baggery for the most part. Just my opinion.

Cruise Moab is an event sanctioned by the Toyota Land Cruiser Association (TLCA). I guess it has a similar format to EJS in that it has a vendor night, guided trail runs all week, a big dinner and raffle. But it is MUCH smaller (limited to about 200 trucks) and as a result there are far less idiots, besides Toyota/Cruiser people are way cooler than jeep people anyway.;) It is open to all vehicles but you must be a member of the TLCA, so it is 99% Toyotas. It is hosted by the Rising Sun 4x4 Club of Colorado. My local club, Wasatch Cruisers has been involved from the beginning and provides trail leaders and other volunteers as well as hosts the overnight run that has been popular for the last few years. It is a first class event no doubt about it.

yup...we'll be seeing a lot of side-by-sides around...

we'll have to keep an eye on their schedules and plan around them so we can keep off their big runs...they roll DEEP into trails

if things get too crowded for camping, there are more options around the area that people can disperse out to. no need to be camping on top of each other...

so if anyone plans on showing up later in the week, you may want to have backup plans for camping locations if the main site gets too full

LOTS of wiring, dual battery setup, Solar charging system, with some random lights spread around here and there.
We got a truck tent so we will take up hardly any room. Hey NYCO I dont know if you saw it in the other thread but the inlaws are not bringing their 5th wheel anymore but are tent camping instead.

Ya they will be riding with me up there, so no big truck or 5th. It should be nice. Nice looking boxes by the way.
