First, I'm sorry for the crappy pics. But here is the fruits of my last labor, recieved last Sat. have not been in much of a hurry cause I'm waiting on parts from China, should be any day now. There is a lot of work in setting one of these up, after the motor, speedcontrol and reciever comes, it'll be a whole new set of challenges.

There you are, saying that word again... As you all know, I'm still very new to flying, but it's just neat. I'm not worried about the track being too wet/dry, do I need new tires, does my diff need rebuilt etc... The air, well it's pretty much the very same as the last time. Well, then there's that damn wind, but it is March.

Hahaha. I like nitro. I just consider it something to do while I'm waiting on batteries to charge.

Too funny, one of my best buds semi-famous sayings was, "running these little trucks, is something to do while drinking beer".

I really like my honcho.scale look is bad ass.
One thing I like about the crawlers is that you can go just about anywhere and have fun. Most of the racing rc are better when you have a track. For me that is hard because it takes just too much of my time. I work a lot. I just take hikes on the local trails in sd and bring my crawler and get hours of fun on just one battery.

It's fun when you have a group... It feels a bit like hitting up the trail in my Tacoma.

I'm never going to really get into racing but I would like for it to perform on a track really well. I know that I want something bigger than my SC10 and probably 4x4. I think my criteria now is bigger, and more powerful than my SC10, and more ground clearance. But, I also want it do drive good on a track. (My friends are building a pretty big, regulation-type track)

I'm leaning more and more towards 1/8 nitro....

I would too mainly because of the durability factor.

Most race electric kits don't bash very well, because the plastics are a little more stiffer.

If you go with a Truggy/Buggy kit you are going to need a starter box.

this is actually a good deal if you want to get a truggy

What about the R.O.S.S remote starting system? A friend of mine has one on his Losi Ten-T, works great!

for an 1/8th Truggy you need a .21+ engine and for a buggy you need a .21 but you can put a bigger one in if you wanna have some fun bashing around

anything 1/8th scale requires a "big block" (.21+) and 1/10 scale uses "small block" engines
