Does anyone know of a source that would show 1996 tacoma models with options listings and /or pics. Specifically instrested in "factory" fender flares.
Have found a few pics showing what appears to be toyota flares but not sure.

didnt think there was a factory flare option for the early models... just the little chrome and black rubber trim that you could get... they do stick out a bit like 3/4" but wouldnt consider them a flare... i was going to try to snatch a set of factory taco flares from the 01-04 crowd lol paint to matcht he paint and your set

I owned a 96 tacoma (3.4L) extended cab and the only flares it had were cheesy little metal strips. They didn't do anything other than looks (cosmetic) and they didn't stick out at all.

Here's a scan of a really old photo from back in 99 (bone stock after I bought it)

I ended up yanking those off and putting bushwhacker extend-a-fender flares on it.

Thanks, guys. Janster, these appear to be the ones I had seen in another pic. It was small and hard get any feel for the size. I had asked a Toyota dealer if flares were option in '96 and he said that some were available from
Toyota but actually bolted to the fender; ifdidn't have a truck that came from the dealer/factory with these flares then I could not use them????????
OK, I'll take a look at the Warn or who knows, might get an english wheel and try my luck?? Thanks again to all of you.

I'm so glad they didn't paint a huge "TOYOTA" on the 2nd gen tail gate.

Yeah, I agree. Hell, it's a stick-on. You can add it if ya wanted it.

Or go the 'ghetto' fashion (no offense intended) - and cut off the T O T A and have YO in the middle. :D

These are the OEM flairs that my 2001 came with. I'm not sure if they would fit a 96. They would look a lot better if they were color matched..what's up with that?
