This question is for you guys how have the wheeler's 5 pack leafs on the first gen tacomas. Has anyone ever had a problem with the leaf spring hitting the tail pipe in the stock location from the exhaust when flexing the suspention? Had the truck jacked up from the frame and the rear suspention was flexed and I noticed that the leaf spring was hitting the tail pipe. Just wondering if this is somthing I am going to have to address.

You will need an exhaust hanger relocation bracket. I have one from Old Man Emu you can have if your willing to make the drive to Chandler and come pick it up.

Ok so i wonted to see just how much wheel travel it would take befor the leaf hit the tail pipe. Jacked up just the one side and i had to go 3 1/2 in. befor it just started to hit. I guess as a daily driver and some mild trails it should'nt be a problem. What do you guys think?

Just relocate it and you'll never have to think about it again. Or do what i did, and cut the mother fu#*er off with a sawzall, just behind the axle

I'm sure it would have been a problem were it not for my Magnaflow cat-back that included/required a relocation bracket to install. :D

Wheeler's/Alcan 5-pack leaf springs, OME 881's, de-badged, Jungle Fender Flares, Herculined bed, HomerTaco grille, Anzo headlights, clear corners,
I have had my leaf springs on for almost 2 years now and have had no trouble with the springs hitting the (stock) tailpipe - no wear marks or anything on the pipe. I'm sure at full flex they do contact but its not a constant pressure/friction point so in my opinion its not a problem.

If you are worried about it the OME bracket is part # FK21 and is about $12
