    My Tacoma….

So I need to install my 3 inch lift, but I am going to needto order the wheels pretty quick. I am putting 285/65/18 Nitto Trail Grapplerson, but here are the wheels I am considering.

I am really torn between option 1 and 2. I like the XDCranks because I feel it matches the curves and personality of the 2012 Tacoma.I also like the Fuel wheels (option 2) . Option 3 looked good on the Tundra, not sure about a Tacoma. I want the wheels to look like they go with the truck.

    Option 1

    18X9 XD Cranks

This is TW member 09yotaman truck [IMG]

    Option 2

18x9 Fuel Hostage (though the photo is for a 20 inch wheel)

    Option 3

18x9 XD Misfits (photo is a 20 inch on a Tundra)

    Option 4
18x9 MKW (just saw these on a FJ, thought they looked really good, dont know about brand though). [IMG]

I have always loved the XD Monsters, but I didnt include them in the poll and do no know how to add them to the poll now that it is set up. the only reason I didnt consider them initially is that everyone has them. If you want to vote now for Monsters just make a comment Here is AaronArf's 2012 Tacoma with the monsters [IMG]

MKW will be the cheapest of the bunch. Suggest you look at the M80, M81, M83, and M88 as other options.

I'm working on a 2011 trd set right now. If the deal does not happen I will let you know. I bought my truck with aftermarket wheels already on there (eagle alloys with 32x11.5 buckshot mudders and I can't stand them). It might be my age (32) but the aftermarket wheel thing just kills me. Also, be careful. My buddy has a set of fuel wheels on his duramax and he has been hunting down a vibration since he got the wheels. Turns out two had defects in them from casting or whatever creation process that makes the wheel (no chipped paint or scratches just a small hardly noticeable bend in the area between the lip and the spokes of the rim).. The imperfections (2 wheels turned out bad, one caused the vibration)were hard to find but easy to see if you look closely at the wheel. Check your new wheels before you install them. He spent close to 500 bucks tring to hunt this I problem down. Fuel replaced the wheels after he bought two more, had the tires swapped and sent them back. The tire shop that switched them told us some horror stories about how common defects in wheels were (apparently rock stars are notorious for cracking too). The first sign he missed was the wheel took a light of weights to balance it. That is a tell tale sign of a problem. Check them well before install and post pics please.

hmmm...the poll shows that the Hostages are the Mitt Romney of the group and the XD Cranks are the Ron Paul's of the group. How ironic LOL;)

I like 1 and 4 as they're more solid and low key looking. The other two have too much going on for my tastes.

Cheaper cost than XD and Fuel. Only one problem w/ MLW in more than 2 years. They shipped the wrong wheels to a customer.

That's not too bad. Things happen.
