Has anyone had experience ordering suspension kits from these guys?
I'm in the process of shopping around for the best deal on an OME kit.
This setup seems to fit my needs best.

    http://www.autoanything.com/suspension-systems/73A5935A0A0A2663146.aspx

Free shipping and no sales tax. Seems like a no brainer, just seems strange that not many people mention this site as an option when folks inquire on what/where to buy.
I was about to order from Metal Tech as they have a better list price, but shipping across the country is around $150.

Any specific reason everyone orders elsewhere?

That's not a bad price at all and autoanything has great customer service. I'd check Downsouth Motorsports, they carry OME stuff and might have better pricing but otherwise, no reason to not order from Autoanything. You might want to call them and make sure what coils you're getting. They only list light and heavy but there are 3 coil options for the Tacoma. I'd imagine the kits are 885 and 886 coils but there's no way to tell for sure.

Right on. I had a conversation with an online sales rep. She confirmed the springs for the light kit to be the 885's and 886's with the heavy kit. I'll have to give DSM a call before I make any purchase. I'd prefer to support a smaller company, but when spending this much $$$ I'm looking to save every penny possible.

^^^That price is with AAL, I'm gonna go with Dakars. I think AAL's would be a temporary fix for my frowning factory springs. Thanks though

You're right about that. AAL's are only a band aid for an already failing leafpack.

The only other things you might need would be axle shims or a CB drop kit. Those are relatively cheap and can be purchased afterwards if you feel you need them to eliminate vibrations. I believe you need a top plate spacer to correct for the Taco lean.

This place is awesome. Good service and all the bells and whistles that autoanything doesnt have for the OME. Think last I looked AA didnt have the AAL, nor did they offer the assembled fronts

The AA kit actually includes the CB drop kit. I'll probably pick up the shims from Toytec. The online rep showed me the parts list and it appeared to be straight off the ARB site.

As for the top plate for the Taco lean, is this the one your referring to?

You are correct, no assembly option from AA which kinda stinks.

Thanks for the link. At a glance it looks like an identical kit, save the trim packers and assembly. Too bad shipping is still another $100+.

It looked like a pretty comparable deal for me til I put the year and make and all into AA then it jumped to like 1200+. So all in all I figured I would get the fronts already assembled, 1.5" Shackles, and the AAl for not much more than the standard package from AA.
I dont see how AA can ship with no cost??? Crazy to me
Leaf packs gotta come freight, kinda a pain in the ass for most, lucky I got access to a forklift!!

I can't comment about pricing regarding 1st gen kits, as I have a 2nd gen. It does seem wild that AA can wave shipping on such heavy items. Doesn't matter to me though. I too have access to heavy lifting apparatus at work, 4x4 tractor and a skid steer;)

Unfortunately, coupons will not work with the OME kit. Its already discounted as it has free shipping. I asked the online support tech.
    http://www.autoanything.com/Cart/Cart.aspx
I have asked in another thread about the advantages of the newer OME 90000 shocks vs. the older N140S shocks.
The kit from AA uses the N140S, but do you guys think the 90000 are worth spending the $.
I can get the same package from Metal Tech with the newer 90000 for around $100 more, Autoanything =$1060.95 shipped vs Metal Tech = $1156.91 shipped.
Are the newer shocks worth $100, its kind of a good chunk of change. Especially since I'm trying to get all my parts while staying under budget.

The older style shocks reportedly ride a bit more plush than the 90000's according to Chris4x4

So I would assume that the older shock may be a little more comfortable on the road, but also prone to more body roll in comparison to the 90000. Is that the collective would assume as well?
Sounds like I might need to PM Chris4x4 to get his take on the old vs new vs stock ride.

I wouldn't count on the shock doing much to prevent body roll for normal, on road driving. The stiffer coils and AAL will help to reduce body roll. It's the ride dampening that would be more plush with the older shocks (according to Mr. 4x4).

Thanks Mike. I just sent a PM to Chris to get some insight on this topic. I'll be installing the Dakars. Not sure if that changes anything about body roll vs. AAL.

Do you happen to know if installing the CB kit and axle shims while installing the lift will have any negative side affects. I know most folks suggest installing the lift only first. And then if any vibes are present, add one or the other until the vibes are eliminated.
I'd like to avoid breaking things down multiple times, if possible. And it seems that a lot of folks end up with both items on in the end anyway. I am planning to get the center pin collars on the Dakars regardless.
I do not have all the tools nor the place to do the lift so I will be either taking it someplace or utilizing the "buddy system" to get the lift on in the first place.

You'll get mixed reviews on that last part. We did installed an OME kit and put the shims in and left the CB drop out. The CB drop can be added while laying on your back in a parking lot so it's not really a big deal to install later if you feel it's necessary. If you don't have access to a shop, jack, stands, etc. You might want to just put the shims in at the time of install.
