Wanna float down 10 miles on the Missouri?? Sorry!

Haven't been on the Missouri in 4 months. I'm dying to get out there again. My buddy and I are going and just using the truck as a tent. :)

does it come with the girl?

That would be badass but make sure alcohol doesn't come into play. try climbing up that ladder and getting in while drunk, then try climbing out hungover having to take the biggest piss of your life in the morning.

she is lucky to be alive....

"She is an experienced backpacker," search crew leader Dave Kuthe told AP. "She had adequate shoes...she just took a bag of pretzels with her."
 that does NOT mean she is an experienced backpacker.

Always tell a few people back home you will be gone for x days and where you will be!!!! It sounds like she only planned to be there for one day.

I saw that story the other day. Its a miracle she's still alive. And she was only 1 mile from the campground from the sounds of it. How do you get lost 1 mile out?

I always pack food, shelter, fire kit, GPS and maps and that's just for day trips on established trails!

Compass and knowledge of how to use it. Gps is nice but mechanical. Should always know how to use the ol skool shit.

I was raised that way I guess. See a ton of people that carry a heavy ass GPS and batteries then realize they gotta walk to the top of a hill to get service, and in summer the foliage pretty much kills any satilite.

My compass weights .02 oz and always works good. High speed low drag.
