    To be honest chris with $4.30 a gallon (& getting ready to shoot up another 5 or 10 cents for the summer blend) I don't feel the urgency like I did, but I have to be in AZ. this monday to pick up & bring back alot of power tools,hand tools,8ft ladder, 24 ft extension ladder, a couple guns/ammo, a trailer w/750 Gal. aluminum water/liquid tank, etc... hoping to sell my samurai to my sister's neighbor while I'm there, one less thing to tow, we'll see how I sit at the end of the week but its looking fairly good so far



    Shit, on the outside looking in dude, kinda enjoying being a spectator watching the circus instead of being in the circus.....;):D

    Cats are subjective IMO, if ya have one you either love it like a family member or you hate it & want to make it a grease spot everytime you see it....:D I've had both;)


    Oh yeah def. for sale, tool wise couple worm drive skilsawz, probably ladders will go (already have 3) maybe 10" miter/chop saw, hand tools, 12 gauge shotgun (think its a mossberg) I'll know more by wedns.

    OK guys! Here's the scoop:

    Today I wired up a Midland 1001Z CB +
    $103 FireStik FG4648-B Four Foot No-Ground Plane CB Antenna Kit, Black, 3 Way Mount, 100 Watts Power Rating, 28"es Length, Frequency Range 26-30MHz, Top Load Position, Fiberglass Antenna
    Firestik 4' No-ground antenna +
    $27 Pyle Indoor/Outdoor PA Horn Speaker - 6.3” Portable PA Speaker with 8 Ohms Impedance & 25 Watts Peak Power - Mounting Bracket & Hardware Included PHSP6K, White, 6.3"
    25w PA speaker.

    First I had to solder the 1/8" jack to speaker wire to plug the PA into the CB. I made sure it worked by plugging the PA speaker into my iPhone and music was heard very clear, although not very loud (expected though).

    After mounting the PA speaker I ran the leads and speaker wire through the firewall and got everything all pretty.

    Yet when I switch the radio to PA mode I don't hear anything from the speaker. I tested with my iPhone again and I could hear music again so now I'm stuck wondering wtf is wrong.

    The one issue I knew going into this....the CB output is rated 8W and the PA speaker is rated 25W (both 8ohm) so I was thinking it wouldn't be as loud as it could be, but I thought it would at least work. Especially after hearing music from my iPhone...I don't know why the CB radio's PA mode isn't working.

    The positive and negative on the speaker aren't hooked up correctly, switch the wires.

    Turn the dynamic up on your cb if you have that equipped. Also check to make sure you have enough power ran to the CB.

    it is a mono speaker and you have a stereo jack. take the wire on the bottom prong and attach it to the other bottom prong.
