    You do??

I see a hell of a lot more 80's Toyota pickups and 4 runners, and older tacomas on the road than OLDER chevys or fords.

And anyways, 200k miles doesn't mean shit as a truck that is 4 years old can have 200k. It comes down to how the entire truck holds up to years and years of use.

Toyota wins there every time, period. Look at a 96 Cheby, regardless of mileage, then look at a 96 tacoma.....the tacoma's quality will be obvious in every way.

An even better analogy that I like to use is look at how many 80's 4runners on on the road vs. chevy S10 blazers. I see late 80's runner all the time with 300k plus and still look great inside and out...while the chevy's are literally falling apart.

My dad had an 87 Pickup that he sold in 2001 for $4500 w/ 240k miles. The neighbor at the time had an 87 S10 that he sold for $1500. Both were sold at approximately their appropriate value.

Even now, an old pickup or tacoma goes for big bucks...because they are worth it, resale value reflects the quality of the vehicle. How much is an old S10 worth now....(hint) not much.

I can understand the frustration of having things "just not right" on your vehicle. It's like it's always in your mind and your just waiting for something to happen to it and it eats at you. So I can understand the new purchase haha

At least your happy man!! We all have our likes and dislikes. Good luck with the new ride!

X2 I see way more 81-87 Chevy trucks on the road than 84-88 toyotas

Just saying, those are my favorite trucks though.

Exactly! Haha you hit it right on the spot about how I felt about it, not that I don't still love my tacoma and wish I could keep it... But I do like my new truck and hopefully lasts me at least a 2-5 years until I find my next tacoma ;)

Yup I'm the guy. Just measured drivers side...no gain in lift from my aal. Other side I gained about 2". Guess I'll swap them tomorrow but idk if that will even do anything?

If I'm creeping correctly, you bought the Downey springs, right?

Don't quote me on this, but I thought that the right side is longer on Some leaf packs...due to the gas tank on the right side and the exhaust route on the left side...Might be wrong though..

I'd pull them off and switch them..When I had my Wheeler's 5 leaf pack installed the guy put them on the wrong sides and it looked exactly like your truck. Had them flipped back around and now I'm sittin' pretty. :)

That is what a couple members told me on here. But I couldn't find any differences in the two packs...both have the same part number on them, and nothing like that in the paper instructions. I hope your right though.

Not sure if swapping will even help. Supposedly 4" lift leaf packs and I got the same measurements as my 1.5" aal on drivers side? Something isn't right...

ARB bumper, warn 9.5 winch. carbon fiber hood. Leer top with thule racks and MOAB from thule. Electric fans, blue sea fuse block, Sony dvd Head unit, Xm tuner and HD tuner. New carpet and new racing seats. ( other half doesnt like them i think). Nwor springs and adjustable coil overs. Sky jacker rear shocks. Slot and drilled rotors. Engine Titanium ceramic coated headers, no cat, jba cat back. URD Rear Sensor Simulator. Leds all around and inside cab and HID H4 hi/lo beams.
Strange on the rear springs. Only thing i was asked was the length from front bolt to center of the axle on mine. Must have been luck of the draw on mine i guess on difference. Mine is from NWOR.

I do miss downey off road.
