i just got hit by a deer on my way to work. he hit the rear door and the bed. i didnt even see him, but the impact sure rattled me. the airbags deployed and i was stunned a little by the impact (of the deer and the airbags). i am ok (i am still a little shaky though), but my truck has lots of damage :( and there is fur and shit all over my truck :(

Sucks Net, must have really scared you if you didn't even see the little rat. I've lived in New England all my life and never have hit one. (I know, I just jinxed myself) Glad you're OK, body damage looks pretty impressive though.:(

Damn, living up here for 56 years and never having hit a deer is damn lucky! Hopefully you keep up the streak. I've hit 2 so far, one just bumped, no damage, the other was at 60ish and did a number on my front end. I agree with the OP, deers suck

Your truck looked soo nice on Saturday also!

from what i can tell, most of the damage is just to the body. the headliner ripped out from the airbags, but it doesnt look like the door is caved into the cab at all. the bed still looks straight, so it looks like all the damage is contained to body panels. however, the deer did hit the tire and i am more concered about damage to the axle, tire, springs, etc...

Hey Mike, thanks, but, I was in Florida Saturday, still am. You have me confused with someone else. I think I've met you before, at Patriots Stadium, but I haven't been to a New England meet in a bit. I'll be back up north in a few weeks, hopefull I'll get to some meets this summer.

at least the deer hit the side of the truck and not the front. a deer in the face would have made my day a whole lot worse.

    /trying to think positive :)

but why couldnt he have hit my slider? :)

No no, sorry, I know you weren't there on Saturday, I was telling the OP his truck looked nice on Saturday, it's a shame the deer dented the hell out of it on Sunday.

My first comment was to you about being lucky living in New England and never hitting one of nature's over-sized speed bumps!

Damn, that sucks. Can't believe it set the air bags off. Damage is bad, but doesn't look bad enought to set them off I wouldn't think. Sorry Net, hope its all body, and can be fixed quick.
