    which one of you guys had the backup camera in their 2nd gen that was in the videos posted not too long ago? silver 2nd gen...

    got a camera on the way and like how you had it setup to display while you were wheeling...

    how did you have it setup? did you have it setup where you can have it come on when you hit reverse and have to option to turn it on whenever (guessing requires a switch to give power when in reverse or switch on to receive power from the battery)?

    what up "momods"here hah.. I have aftermarket head unit w a video in. Both front and rear cameras go into a radio shack el cheepo switcher. The radio is set to always play the video. I just select what camera I want on. Honesty the front facing camera is the only one I use though and that's mainly to see over a ridge

    gotcha...so you don't have it wired into your reverse at all then...just a manual switch turning on the video to one or the other camera?

    Nope. Always on depending on my screen input.. you could run it to a 12v reverse trigger but y? Always seeing your friend behind you is kinda nice

    Hey all, relatively new to the Taco thing, but I'm fully committed now. I bought a solid '99 Prerunner out of AZ just for a work truck, but ended up liking it so much that I neglected the hell out of my '08 'speed3 and just sold it. Now I'm driving the yota full time.

    Wondering if there are any local TW wrench days coming up. I've been fixing and building my cars, trucks and Jeeps since the late 80's, but I'm no Mr. Goodwrench. Just do this stuff for fun. Anyway, it's always been cool having club wrench days as an excuse to hang out, have a few beverages and maybe fix something.

    I see a lot of 'wheelers posting in this thread - I haven't done that since the early 2000's BC (before children) - I used to run at Badlands a lot. But I won't be doing much of that in a Prerunner... at least not til that 4x4 conversion.

    Anyway, just curious if anyone here is getting in on the latest TW DT header group buy. I've got my name on the list and will be swapping out my crap manifold asap.

    In case anyone else is, and is down with the wrench day, and this isn't too private of a club, let me know, I'm up for it. FWIW, I'm in Jefferson Park (NW Chicago), decent concrete space in back of the house, easy parking, and many bars within easy walking distance. :D

    I'm about 3 and a half hours away... nwi/supra is a bit closer but I can't speak for them. I'm always down for some help (if your out this way) & usually knee deep in some sort of project. If you need a hand I'm sure we will try to at least offer some advise... between supra nwi and I we have prolly been there done that.

    Idk should be a few days still. The guy said ge would send tracking numbers and I haven't got them yet. I'm hoping he forgot and sent Monday which would put them here by the end of week. ... fingers crossed
