FYI. Gas mileage.

Here is something you might find interesting if you are obsessed with fuel economy.

If I fill in regular gas I get 460km a tank (currently priced at 117.9 cents a litter)
If I fill in mid-grade gas I get 500km a tank. (currently at 123 cents a litter )
Flling in mid-grade gas is actually slightly cheaper in the long run.

I haven't tried premium gas yet, but I will at some point.

 

In Canada, is your gas watered down with ethanol also?

I tried the premium vs regular. Didnt really see much, if any, of a difference.

Thanks, but I'm not one to go out of my way to get regular gas, I just use fuel additives to gas cans for small engines since the ethanol screws up the carbs. The truck's mileage is a little worse with the ethanol but it runs fine on it. I was just curious to know if Canada has ethanol in their gas or not.

 

Yes. It definitely is.

 

With regular gas, thats what I have used forever. And I usually get around 460.
With the mid-grade gas. I only did that once. But I drove in 4x4 a lot more then usual, due to the weather. So I might actually get better gas millage then that.

 

I fill up at Shell, their 87 is 10% ethanol, 89 is 5% ethanol, and 91 is ethanol free.
