Ask a loan processor.

hey guys im a loan processor for bank of america and i know alot of people seem to think we (banks) like to screw people over or mess with you, if you feel that way ask away and ill use the best of my knowledge to answer your questions.

i work on refinances with the making home affordable program. i have some knowledge of other types but mostly MHA!!

for the record i believe what i do helps people big time and am a huge supporter.

 

also, if people have their bad views of bank of america i can also give my opinion on us and other banks and why we are criticized so much.

i have been a processor at chase and bofa. harp loans with chase and mha with bofa. (they are the same thing between banks)

 

clark howard has an awful opinion about BOA. I have been with BOA since 06 and so far am fairly pleased with the service. My only gripe is that they charged me for a copy of an old cancelled check ( about two years old) all they have to do is press a key on their computer and print it out, but no...they take 5 to 8 business days and chraged 5 bucks.

 

No offense, but if I'm looking for a loan processor one requirement is that they're over 19 years old.

I have a student loan thru Chase...holy hell what a mistake that was.

 

Not old or grumpy, just require some experience in one of the largest investments a person will ever make. I've purchased and sold more homes than years he is old. As I said, no offense to him but I personally require a bit of experience when investing that much cash. I wish him the best and hope he prospers in his chosen profession.

 

Well retiredff other than his age how do you know what experience he has? nothing personal, i just dont judge a book by its cover...

see now that’s where I’m not very smart at, I don’t know what a lot of the really smart people of the industry have to say.

but from what I have seen b of a treats their employees extremely well, its half the reason I’m back at b of a from chase.

the other half is the way chase actually processed loans, they just try to get them through to underwriting. b of a doesn’t take short cuts and their regulations for certain loans are so much worse than anywhere else including chase because of the past. I really believe in my center, my big big big boss and everyone else is all about making the customer happy and processing a good loan.

no offense but if you’re looking for good work your going to go where the knowledge and hard work is, not where the properly aged people work.

b of a felt I have been qualified regarding my knowledge and my hard work since I was just 17 years old, yes I have been working for b of a since I was still a senior in high school processing loans and assisting processors.

chase also felt I was qualified with my previous experience and hired a 18 year old. the youngest loan processor for chase and bank of America is/was yours truly.

I have always been in the top 3 on every single team I have been on and I have proven myself as a young adult and a loan processor. thanks

Actually thinking back from past experience, you guys may just be the ticket. I've had some "older" processors and they didn't know their ass from a hole in the ground. Thanks for enlightening me, my apologies for any unintended insults.

 

Landhome Financial AMX Wholesale division - We do lots of business with BOA.

I work 115 hours every two weeks. I however, do not stress. I don't let myself get stressed out.

We do Conventional, FHA, USDA, MH (i dont do MH - we have a specialist in Minnesota for that), CHDAP, 203kB, Streamlines, USDA, Homepath, and more.

 

every bank you go to there will be jackasses. i know some at b of a and chase. its like cops, alot are nice and good, some are dicks and dont do things right.

so you can feel how ever you like, but if i was ever your loan processor i would work my hardest and do my best for every customer. thats how i was trained.

i try not to stress, but we just switched from centralized (we used to use mlos in our building) now were using mlos from branches and they all work to make my life harder it seems lol.

i am pretty lucky, im strictly MHA refinances haha. one of the easiest ones but its still hard as hell

TRUE DAM STORY. i have 40 hours of wasted time in the past 3 weeks because people try to do things the old way and it messes up what i need to do. :/

I hear ya, more times than I can count I've had to do the face rub as these older folks drag shit out unnecessarily.

 

BoA sold my mortgage to Green Tree in December. It's been nothing but a complete headache since. GT sucks, doesn't pay bills out of escrow on time, forcing me to deal with collection notices and having to pay out of pocket for items that are supposed to be paid from the escrow account (property taxes). They've also made over $400 'disappear' from my escrow account, so the battle with these jokers continues.

Bought my house five years ago, so with the downturn in the housing market, I'm way upside down and can't refi to get away from GT. Life is great, thanks BoA.
