I was getting about 14mpg till I did a major tune up (clean Throttle body, replace fuel filter, replace pcv, plugs/wires, airfilter, clean MAF)

Up to 18 city now on 33's and stock gears

This truck is a work truck - not a lot of fancy mod's here, but it's getting the job done!
I got the "You need a new steering rack and tie rods" app today... anyone got an idea on where to buy this cheap...

Waiting on gears to come.... I could put in the front end stuff now, but I'd just have to take it all out again to re-gear and install the locker. :notsure: I'm hoping my gears will get here soon.... :(

    autozone.

Get autozone outer tie rod ends. Mine came and they were Japanese made "555" brand...same as MOOG for $30 less per side.

And the autozone rack comes w/ inners and boots.

And do it yourself....very simple job. And get poly bushings while you are at it.

Thanks - I was looking at rockauto and it's like $600 for the rack with the tierods... ouch. I'll check out autozone - surprising answer actually...

    Others - please chime in!

And when I do the work, which parts do I need... I can do the work, but I need to order the parts all together so I don't get stuck half way through...
