Well here is one of mine

 

That guy used to race at my track for big races, I don't much care for him or tebow. Once you're at that level, you kind of need the new tires and current winning cars and race motors, I was a 18yo broke kid an couldn't compete. I will say that during a nationals race, I didn't know how to set the bottom end of my .21 and so I did pretty shitty during qualifying. This kid Tillman who was their competition at the time skipped it all together and he couldn't pass me until a combination of overheating my lower end and him t boning me and crushed my pipe. At that point I was Just some money away from going pro. I should have sought out sponcers in retrospect.

 

Looks great, those outlines over the "louvers" had to be a pain in the ass. Again congrats, that's awesome. BTW I've never shot a SC body, would love all that room to work.

 

Just have to go slow and be patient over them. A really, really sharp knife is key. The bigger body is good and bad. More taping, paint. But definitely more real estate to work with.

 

what kind of tape do you use?

 

I get it at ho-depot, or osh. 3m, white. on the package there is an adhesive chart, it says high adhesive or something like that. I will have to go to my local store and get a picture of the packaging.

 

So, that's not a pre-cut mask? I would've worked my design around those louvers, and not fucked with them, but again looks awesome. And yeah, a brand new #11 in the custom cut-down Exato every time that's it's time to trim. Again, what is this 3-M product your talking about?

That is free hand. Flames are the only thing I can draw well. I will go there tomorrow and take a photo of the it for you guys.

Put the tape down length wise, front to back in the middle. Then a piece on each side overlapping slightly. That way you have uniform lines on each side to go off of all the way down

 

so you tape the entire underside of the body then cut out your designs?

 

Or at least part of your design. Again, depends on your color choices and your designs. I'd "guess" the last thing sprayed on Jumpers' body was the white outlines of the flames, along with backing the rest of his colors.

 

Exactly. That body took probably a week of work messing around a few hours a night to do where this one took 3 or 4 hours. But that's why I drive it instead of the flamed body. Can't bring myself to mess it up.


And this one, clearly not that much detail took even less time.

 

Exactly. Dark colors first. I made the mistake a few years ago and painted white first and red second. I ended up with a bright pink body. It sucked. Lol

 

well that makes more sense, taping off individual parts sucks ass lol. learn something new everyday haha.
