NorCal Annual camping trip July 2012

Okay guys it's about that time summer is coming fast and with the shitty winter were having the snow should be all gone by July for sure.

great place for ATV's, dirt bikes, shooting, fishing & Hiking. Bear Valley trail is about 30min from the lake so we might hit a trail one of the days.

Here is a shot of the lake from last year I've been going here for damn near 30 years and my family cut the first road to the lake in the 60's on horses wile deer hunting. My dad's ashes were also scattered here last Labor day right off that rock

I'll be doing the rubicon on the 4th-7th and gold lake on the 20-22nd, so i'll prolly be tapped out for july.
wish i could make it, i've heard good things about this spot.

what's the camping like? is it like last year Eagles Lake? or do we need reservations?

 

if its in national forest we can camp anywhere i think

It's free first come first serve we will need fire permits I'll have one but we should have a few so we can have other camp grounds just in case the group get's large.

Yeah, we drove up it partway. Remember, this is the hill where my friend and his Jeep friends had that accident. I still have the pics from it.

 

Yeah you can't drive up it anymore not even on ATV's

 

Well it is hella steep. Maybe after they brought in those 2 life flights to fly them to Reno, they probably figured it was just too dangerous to leave open.
