I have ridden that bike, well not yours but my buddies. Tons of fun. I would get into trouble if I owned one. Would be jumping curbs.

Anyone know how much this is worth? Something is wrong with the engine, it just won't start. It's a XTM, not sure what model.

    DanglingFury,

I completely removed the optidrive module and plugged the servos directly into the receiver and now everything is working well. I ran about a half a tank through it and the throttle/brake worked the entire time. That wouldn't have happened before I removed it.

I don't know if it is the module that went bad or the sensor(I am betting on the module) but I can replace both for about $25. My other option is to just keep the opti drive off and just be careful with the reverse.

    Thanks for the help.

    Yeah.
Yeah, I am completely amazed. I have 2 5300mAh lipos that I run in my SC10 4x4 (Castle SCT brushless setup) and they run hard for 20 minutes and only use like half the battery. I probably only needed one of them. They wouldn't fit the Losi 22 (too thick), so I got a 3800mAh (setup to run brushless 17.5T stock) for the buggy, and same deal.

Anyone know how many charge cycles you get on these lipos before they start to deteriorate?

I have had 2 venom 5000mah 50c batteries for a year and a half racing at least 3 times a month in 2 cars. Balance them always, keep them cool and don't drop them and they will last for hundreds of charges +. I never run mine down all the way though.

I've rode/owned bikes of all types for over forty years, this is, by far the most fun. I've dropped in a big-bore (440) kit, along with a set of Hot Cams, 39mm flat slide carb, and full Ti Yoshi pipe, it's no race bike, but pulls good for what it is.

Kinda depends on how you treat them, Jumpers' advice is pretty spot on. I don't balance every time, (won't hurt) and the're are a zillion opinions on this. I balance at every five cycles, even that, (by some folks ideas) is over kill. Over discharging is the killer of li-pos.

Some people don't always balance them and from what I have heard it doesn't have to be balanced every charge. But, I have the newer hitec 4x charger so I do it anyway since I have it. Had worked for me so far. I have some newer venom packs also but not as long as those. Good battery for the price and definitely better than a hobby people battery. Those go out quite often at the track.

If I remember correctly balance charging is also safer since it charges it each individual cell as its own instead of all cells as a whole preventing overcharging other cells if one or more of the other cells are damaged, again I've been out of this for a while so please correct me if Im talking nonsense here

No problem. I need to get motivated to tear into this t-maxx and get it going like it's supposed to. I think I'm going to try to get it working like it should. Sometimes that happens just because the batteries are weak. :notsure:
