2012 mirror questions

    ICON stage 5 coilers w/ ICON ucas, dakar leaf pack with Fox rears, k&n cai, LED cab light, raceline 16 inch wheels , toyo m/t 33",painted front yota emblem gloss white, retrofit headlights with mirrimoto 3 " lenses running the 6k headlights. Bhlm, bestopper, wet okole seat covers (max 4), weather tech mats,winch with piaa fogs. All pro apex front bumper. Sliders etc
    i have a 2012 trd offroad with the backup camera thats in the tailgate. i know that my mirror has a lcd screen in it but i have no clue how to use it. anyone with experience that can tell me how to have my backup image show there???

    Put the truck in Reverse.

    haha mr. obvious.... i love it, no i do but i have the entune in-dash system and the images show there, i would like it to show up on both or at least use the mirror lcd screen for something....

    yeah so is there any mods or anything i can use the lcd screen for?

    I would think you would need to tap into your camera feed...and then the reverse lights wire for the trigger. Either way, all you are going to get is a duplicate immage. The other thing you could do is wire it so you could turn it on with a switch...rather than only have it on when in reverse. Might be kinda cool :cool:

    Are you positive there is a screen in your mirror? I doubt Toyota and its suppliers would spend extra when they could so easily make a simplified version of the mirror sans screen... but then again who knows!

    There defienitely is a screen. When you hit the "N" button a full menu comes up on the mirror where you can change the color of the temp and stuff like that. But there is also a listing on the "Mirror Menu" for "Rear View Monitor" But with the entune it does nothing.

    I'm at work now but I can vouch for the fact that the entune equipped trucks still come with a mirror with screen.
