for visual refference, this is the same spacer setup jason now has on his truck and that i ran before that. perfect height for a spacer, because you get almost the same travel as an extended set of coilovers. drops to nearly as much as the coilovers, and being a 2.5 inch lift instead of a full 3, you still hit bumpstops before you bottom out the shocks.

 

Poor little SWB taco, looks so sad with that ugly thing on its back.

yep, VA state inspection. have to get a safety inspection once a year (the sticker), and an emmissions inspection every two (sticker for that goes on the FRONT license plate)

 

Ah ha I see. You would think with today's technology they could come up with something mo betta. oh well.

 

It's kinda strange but I like the camper on the Taco. I would think it would be better than having it on a full size truck...gas wise, and it would be great for camping. I like the ladder to the roof. Other than that it would suc. but it is on a compact truck so, prob easy to take off and store or what not, as compared to a much bigger one on a full size...imo, All you need is that and some Allman Brothers tunes and you are set.

 

Ok, so i have been tossing around the idea in my head for the past few days of taking off my 40 series and going straight pipe. We had a taco a while back come through the shop that was straight piped and it sounded pretty damn good, not sure if i want to do this or not, then i would sell the 40 series of course.

 

my vote is no..I hate the sound of our engine as is. straight piping would only make it worse.

 

Is there anyone who makes bumpers/sliders in FL? I want to get some but shipping on them is a bear.
