It's funny you say that. My brother looked at it and said "you know, now you can add a drop bracket lift and 40" tires". I LOL'd. Then I was like.....hmmmm.

I have considered an SAS swap, but remember this is my daily driver, and I am ready spending a TON of money on a replacement engine. I may own a shop, but that doesn't mean I have bottomless pockets. I have to watch what I spend right now since most every dime I had went into starting the business. The ONLY reason I am considering a V8 swap is that I already have the engine, so I only need the adapters. I am already looking at spending a minimum of $1500 to get her fixed up, and that is not including the paint (which I will be doing myself to keep cost down to materials only)

    Dave, truck is looking good!

I myself would love to go to that off-road spot. it's located in North-east Alabama, right? Why you guys always gotta pic spots that force me to drive 6 hours?...lol. I have tons of Spotter experience if you all need a good spotter for the more difficult trails.

Welcome to the forum. We are here to make you spend money. I bet there isn't a person in this thread who hasn't bought something as a result of this forum.

Btw, since you own a shop, I have some questions for you. Expect a pm.

Welcome is appreciated, but I have been here for a while! lol. Everyone pretty much knows me by my sigs. Seems Dave has to replace his keyboard once a month from all the drool. You know Dave, you COULD get a plastic keyboard cover and a drip pan for pretty cheap!

Oh, I know you've been here for a while. That was a hypothetical welcome. And I usually never get to see your sigs, because gifs don't show up at work and thats the only place I check the forum. I guess I'm missing out.

Might be different, but I stuck mine on my axle and then put the axle into the diff. It has worked fine so far.

A good press is the most commonly over looked, incredibly useful tool to have in your garage. Nobody ever has them either. if you ever plan on doing any axle or transmission work, they are a necessity at some point.

Forget fancy saws and a drill press, I want a nice press and a grizzly in my garage.
