Custom y-pipe possible?

    i've been seeing Y pipes done to tacomas but never seen any discussion on the 95-04 models.

    i was wondering if i can have a muffler shop fab one up for me and weld it on.

    is this even possible for my year truck?

    fill me in!..i've done searching and found nothing.

    What would a y-pipe do anyway?
    i do plan on getting supercharged soon.

    will it throw a check engine light?

    I took my 09 TRD OR to a vey well respected hot rod/race shop locally and asked them about the y on the truck and their feeling was: He said that they would not be able to do much better, and that I would notice very little if any change in performance.

    They could however build me a complete system from the engine back that would make a major differance, but not worth it to me.

    its not worth doing just a Y pipe unless you get all new exhaust system

    still. would it throw a CEL?
    would it make my truck louder?
    in a few weeks i'll have a complete exhaust set up

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    X2...and even then, dont expect big gains.

    No engine light, and depending on the pipe used, it shouldnt affect the sound.
