    Could someone post a picture of the the Toytec Front Diff. Drop Kit installed on an 05+ Taco? I was reading the instructions that came with the kit and they do not match my truck. It talks about removing the front skid plate removing 9 screws. Huh? My skid plate only uses 4. Also it talks about adjusting the mounting holes on the rear skid plate. Huh? My 2005 DC doesn't have a rear skid. Thanks!!

    I have no idea if the FJ and 05+ Taco have the same mounting for the front Diff. Sorry.

    TRD Cat-Back, TRD CAI, 3" Lift, ATX Chambers, Color matched Grille and Door Handles, Scooped Hood, GrillCraft upper and lower, DTRL, Foglight Mod, Redline Hood Struts, 20% Tint all around, SGII, Blacked out dash, Extang Full-Tilt, etc, etc, etc.
    The Off Road package has a two piece front skidplate. There a 4 bolts holding the front section, and I believe you remove 2 more to drop the rear section.

    Ah, ok. I only have an SR5 so I only have the front skid.


    No one has a pic of the front diff drop kit installed?:(

    X2. Dont install the diff drop unless you REALLY feel its needed. All the lifts I have done on a second gen have not had vibes and have not had the diff drop installed.....well, only one and that was RidingonTRD's truck.....but he had the diff drop installed.

    Why are there 2 spacers on the top of the crossmember ?? I will be installing one to get my CV's back at a better angle, I don't want to have to keep replacing boots, I've already done it once.

    I knew someone was gonna ask. They shipped me the wrong kit and bolts were too long so I had some spacers made to take up the slack.

    Don't feel bad. I hacked the front off a BB skid to fit under an all poop bumper. Bitchin part is now I need the front of the skid back + a couple inches for the new truck :/

    I thought the whole idea behind the diff drop was to "help" with CV angles... Does it just not help enough to make a difference? If it doesn't, then I'm gonna remove mine since I'm installing my BB skids. I'd have to fab something up to make them fit with the skids like Silverback did...

    being as a 1" drop only lowers the axel 1/2", wich translates to a 3* or so change in CV angle, it really doesnt make a big difference.

    Just found it. Installed spacers and longer bolts to drop the full skid setup a bit. That was the first option I considered but went with modifying the skids instead.

    Honestly, after all is said and done, no diff drop really is the way to go on our trucks.
