fog lights on sr5

was just wondering if these fog lights would work with my truck. I have an 08 Sr5 with no factory fog lights. Do i need anything from Toyota in order to make these work? thanks

that looks to be a full kit. Lights, wires, relay, switch.

 

The housings will snap right in.

The wiring harness will take a bit of work. The provided switch will not fit the dash openings... $70 for an OEM switch, or around $10 from O'Reilly for a lighted switch that will work.
Also the harness is too short to reach the dash, and includes connectors that make it look like it's a plug and play, but it's not.

Basically, installation will be like any foglight set... the housings are perfect, but the rest of it will be DIY... but the relay will work.

 

would you suggest a different kit, or a different way to go? or am I basically going to have issues with any kit I buy

 

If you search on ebay there is a guy who sells oem ones for 20 bucks. That's what I have in mine, u can see them in my build. I have them for my lights.

 

Don't let the wiring scare you, it's not that bad and there is plenty of help available on here. If these guys can confirm the lights themselves will mount up, then the rest is doable. Building the mounting brackets would be a huge hassle compared to sorting out the wiring.

 

Ya.. fog light wiring is not hard.

One thing to check since you have an SR5... look in the underhood fuse box at the spot for the fog light relay. If there are contacts in there, then you are likely already wired for it and all you need are the housings, a switch for the dash (top row, I believe fog is closest to the wheel), and a relay.
Also look under the bumper behind the plugs and see if there are harnesses taped up. If so, all of the hard work is done.

Like I said... those eBay lights are identical to the OEM lights.
Snap your blank covers out (careful not to scratch the paint on the bumper), clean the mud and dust out of the openings, and the new housings snap right in.
They take a fair "whack"... the side clips go in without a fight, but the adjuster keeper takes a bit of force.
