    2012 Access Cab TRD Off road....noticed that the passenger seat vibrated at highway speeds and it felt a bit rough. Figured it was a problem with balance and took it to dealer. They couldn't fix it and gave me 4 new wheel/tires off a truck on the lot. Problem gone....good on the dealer!:)

    I'm having a problem with the push button. It has to be pushed sometimes 5 times before the cruise turns on. The button has to be pushed "just right" to get it to off as well. It functions fine, just like my 2011 Camry.

    Had two hard starts today one after the other (separated by 4-5 hours) which is very unusual. I let the key go after a few seconds when it didn't start after several seconds and then tried again after 15 seconds as I was distracted by my kids, it still took 6 seconds or so to catch at that point. Then the exhaust smelled a lot like what I think was unburned fuel once it started. I don't think it has anything to do with the truck registering the key, I've been giving it a couple seconds. 7000km.

    ARE Zseries cap, Thule rack, Icon 2.5" Coilovers, Icon 2" rears, 1.5" Wheelers Progressive AAL, FJ rims in silver, BAMF sliders.
    * My passenger seat also shakes quite a bit at times.
    * Non-JBL stereo doesn't play loud enough.

    Despite this, I love the truck. I've got 2,500 miles on it. I'm going to have the dealer take a look at the seat. The stereo sounds fine for what it is. I'll likely add this to the list of things I want to do to the truck. I've already swapped out the stock wheels for the FJ 16x7.5 alloy wheels in silver, new BFG AT 265x75x16, A.R.E Z-series camper shell and bed rug.

    Next up is abt a 2" lift: Icons, Icon UCAs, and Alcan rear leaf springs.

    And then the Shrockworks sliders.

    And then a winch.

    Back in 07 they had a "intermittent no-start" tsb. My truck had 200 miles on it when i had the re-flash done...completely fixed it!! If this is indeed the same issue (sure sounds like it) it's hard to believe it's still going on after all these years.

    Mine still does it from time to time (over 10,000km now), there is no rhyme or reason to it and I don't buy the 'wait a few seconds to turn the key', it doesn't make a difference.

    Only issue I have had was a ringing noise that could be heard over the radio at 35 to 50 mph. Noise turned out to be wind whistle coming from the Toyota bug deflector. Dealer adjusted the deflector and noise went away for one week before returning. Dealer removed the deflector and refunded my money. Other than that, truck has performed flawlessly, and is averaging 19 mpg under all driving conditions. I am happy with the Tacoma PreRunner, 4.0.

    90 miles on my '12 nothing yet, I guess I have to wait until I get to 100 to get all the problems.

    YUP on #2 and #4 (but predictably). I have about 100 miles and noticed them at about 20 miles. I've been disappointed, but really don't expect much from engineering on most newer cars anyway, especially super mass produced Toyotas.

    I got #2 fixed on warranty of course, delivering a car to customer that would trigger a head on wreck if the steering wheel is held straight will of course be fixed on warranty.

    #4 is supposedly mostly resolved, I pick it up tomorrow and will post an update to the driveline vibration thread.

    I got them to center mine at around 1k miles, but I'm at 2200 miles and it's back off to the right/pulled left! Have a case open with them about the shudder and now I'm going to have to tell them to fix the steering wheel again!

    Has anyone had any issue with the motor taking over on down hill accents? Meaning it drops a gear and the rpms come up when you tap the break going down hill. It's like the motor is trying to help slow the truck even though I don't want the motor to do anything, now I just put it in neutral while going down hills, has become second nature. V6 DCLB I think it might have something to do with the new safety feature that the breaks will always overpower the engine and the engine thinks it needs to help. Maybe I'm just crazy.
