As I was talking on the phone through the integrated Bluetooth system on my 2012 Tacoma yesterday I noticed on the display of the head unit that the name above the number says "No Name". I was wondering if anyone knew how to change the name? The number is added to my phone book and I already set up the voice command dialing on it.

Also has anyone "Initialized" there phone to the system? I read it in the manual (pg 353-354).

I've wondered the same thing. I even programmed my presets for my 6 most called numbers. I will display the number that it is calling and even replay the voice recorded name that I gave it, but I don't know how to change the name on the display.

I'm sure there is a way. I tried looking everywhere in the manual, but it doesn't say anything about it. Have you done that "Initialize" thing I mentioned?

Bumping this thread. Have exact same issue....can't figure out how to change "no name". Has anyone figured this out?

    BTW...what does "initialization" do?

I'm in the same boat, just got my truck last week and been trying to figure out how to get it to display the name as well. Surely someone knows how.

Are we 2012's stuck with 'No Name'?

Why would they even put a name there at all?
