Hi guys, I've been toying around with the idea of upgrading the rims and tires on my 2008 Toyota Tacoma regular cab. I'm limited by the 5-Lug pattern, but have read about the X-Runner 18" Wheels fitting fine on this forum. I wanted to ask if anyone had any pictures of a non-X-Runner with these wheels on them? Thanks in advance for your help.

It will eventually get painted like that (when bumper and grill surround color fades).

Agreed. A 5-lug storm trooper would be pretty sexy.

    Size 235/55/18

A little taller than stock xr tires

    No, no, no, and no.

We keep telling you in your other thread....

You don't need to do ANYTHING to upgrade to XR wheels and tires.
The stock truck and sheetmetal can handle tires as tall as 31" off road tires without needing a lift or removing the black box.
You're looking at going with 245/40-18... those tires are SMALLER than those in the OP.

The only time you'd have to worry about clearance issues with XR rims is if you are running an extremely lowered truck, or put oversized off-road tires on the XR wheels.

Relax man... you're going to be fine with your new wheels and tires... if anything, you're going to want to LOWER the truck because your new smaller tires are going to expose more of the wheelwells and look funny.

    Agree

Stock XR tire size will look a bit silly, they are about the same diameter or same diameter as stock 215 on our factory 15" wheels.

To look proportionate go either 235/55 or 225/60 neither will rub and will look good on stock height 5-lugger.

Heck, I'm even thinking of going 255/55/18 on my next set of tires, there is a red 5-lug here running them on stock height and aftermarket 18" wheels and looks great IMO

I'm also going to upgrade when my 215s are shot.
Likely going to go 17", probably 245/55-17 or 245/60-17, whichever size I can get in the Michelin Hydroedge.

18's are sweet, but there's a significant cost bump going above 17.

Yeah 18" tires are expensive, hydroedge are awesome and will last a long time. I had them on my previous truck, it was the longest lasting tire I had in it and the grip dry and wet was amazing.

I assume I'm going to need the mag nuts with the flange then correct ?

Called oreillys and they have them for the xrunner so I can pick them up tomorrow

I think I may have to upgrade tires. I have a 07 tacoma white with the black bumpers but mine is the access cab
