Which 3" lift to go with

So I am trying to decide which lift to go with, On the website I see 4 different lift options that will do basically the same thing as far as the 3" lift, but what I want more than that is to maintain a good smooth ride and offer great offroading. This poll will determine which one I go with.

It wouldnt let me vote on the poll but I would go ome FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!. I have my truck lifted since last week and I like it. Rides like butter and is not harsh at alll and took it offroading the day after and It was really good. I love it. Next time use the search funtion. There is alot of threads on this already but ome you should get. Here is a pic of mine.

Miguel, what size tires do you have on in that pic? I'm saving up for a lift kit as well but don't really wanna do the kit until I can get the wheels/tires as well.

Lifted truck + tiny stock tires = silly (IMO, speaking from no experience)

 

I have 265 75 16 on there and yes they are small. Not too small but yes small. If you go to 285s your mpg is gonma suck. I'm going to 275s BFF at. In between size and best of both worlds I think.

Lifted my 2008 OR a few weeks ago using a home made ultimate package (5100's, 2"aal, toytec coils and sleeves) couldn't be happier, ride is super smooth.

 

I know. It's looks good. I still might upgrade the tires but it isn't that bad. Can't really tell untill you really look at the tires. Deff pull out the card faster lol. You won't be sorry. Do it. It's gonna look amAzing.

 

I have option 2. No complaints so far.

I argee. The smallest size a lifted Taco looks good with is 265/75/16s.
I'm still running the 245/75/16 Dungflops until they wear out when I'm in commuting mode (280 miles/week).
Then I'm getting some 265/75/16s for my commuting tires. It looks silly but I'm getting 20 mpg with winter gas & 24 mpg with summer gas.


It looks much better when I'm in wheeling mode and put on the 255/85/16 BFG KM2s on 1st Gen TRD ORs.

 

is it worth getting the better leaf pack option? as they say the stock toyota ones are weak

OME all the way, rides/handles quite well.

 

if i could give you one piece of advice dude for the rear get new springs. the block will work for a while but i had mine for 6 months and hated it every minute i had it. right now im switching to new springs shocks everything. the toytech coilovers are great and the 5100's in the rear would be a great compliment to a set of deavers or alcan springs. if nothing nothing else get an aal not block if you can afford new springs

I kinda had the same thread. Ive been looking at the two ultimate lifts with all the extras added. Im ok with paying the over 2 grand price for them as long as its worth it.

 

If I was you, I would buy the ome for 940 shipped. Then buy tires and your at about 1,800. Why spend 2,000 on a lift when you can get a lift and new tires for the same price even lower. Just my .2 cents

 

Do it right the first time, get the Dakars!

 

for everything i would get the ome kit is almost $1400
