This is true. My 3 day assault pack (Army issue) had a few MRE's, about a gallon of water, medical supplies, just the green inner part of the 3 piece sleeping bag, and as many porkchops of SAW ammo as they would let me have (usually 4 or 5 200 rounders) plus a few pairs of socks and undies, and personal hygiene stuff. I felt comfortable living out of it for a week at a time as long as I still had ammo. My A bag was the same stuff just in bigger quantities and more clothing options for incliment weather.

I'm pretty basic in the truck, p226, knife (currently the gerber asek2), paracord, seat belt cutter, gloves, some rope and a small first aid kit. Tool box has extra 100 rounds, blanket, rescue hook for hitch, tow strap and so much kid crap its amazing.....

sub. i’m look for like 2 30mm ammo cans. i’m wanting to 10” subs so all space behind back seat will be lost. i have a 40mm but i don’t like that it opens at both ends. i have seen the 30mm or maybe 40mm that just open at one end.

All the 20mils that I've used opened at both ends. Same with the 30mil. But the 30s were big enough to fit a small person in. They are huge.

I'm more worried about society collapsing more than a solar flare.

You might have seen a Jerry rigged one but out of the hundreds of 20mike cans I've used they all open from both ends. (munitions specialist was my job in the air force) :anonymous:
