So being the DIY guy, I decided to change my rear diff fluid today. Pretty easy job right?

    step 1- drain fluid
step 2- start replacing fluid using syringe with tube on the end.
step 3- launch tube off the end of syringe into differential, ponder if plastic floats in 75W90.
step 4- call tow truck, listen to giggles from people in earshot when I say "I have a foreign object in my rear differential"

Why not just take the cover off, remove tube, replace cover, and proceed??

Dealership gave me a free 4L bottle of fluid. Since the thing is the size of (aka was) a windshield washer bottle, I had to find a different way to fill.

    Update from the towing front:

WAS going to tow it to a shop have them pull off the diff, turns out they can't get dollies in to where my truck is, spinning tires = hose in diff gears.

SO I'm going to teach myself how to take off the Diff carrier. Not my original plan for the afternoon.
