    K&N

    -noticeably better response
    -more power, mostly from 2000+rpms
    -slightly better mpg
    -made my magna-flow exhaust louder

I have no dyno runs or anything, I can just tell there was gained HP from driving it around.
Hah, well it definitely made my exhaust louder! Many have said the same. Better intake airflow makes better airflow in exhaust causing it to be louder? Idk, but it is louder.

This whole aftermarket air filter thing for stock engines is a joke. When some of these guys are saying they are getting 1-3 more horse power? Yeah right. There is no way you can tell you are getting 3 more horse power going to the supermarket with a vehicle this heavy. Don't kid your self.

Its like when you where a kid and you got some new tennis shoes. You could run faster jump higher.

The only time it seems people here have problems with air filters is when they have oiled filters messing with the sensors?

And adding a different muffler does not make your engine a modified engine.

    Not better for MPG.

Pretty simple, unless you are driving at full throttle all the time the throttle plate is a vastly larger restriction compared to the air filter, even a clogged air filter, so K&N or even no filter has zero effect on mpg.

Okay now that messed up. I changed from Regular oil to Synthetic Motor oil and i felt the truck ran smoother.

If we really want to take it far... I run 91 and i felt faster.

I never want to ride in a truck with an exhaust system again.

5 years in a Dually was fine, 6 years with a dodge "hemi" running dual 3" pipes no cats and 12" glass packs ruined it. I got to where I didn't wanna take my truck over 2000 Rpms just so I didn't have to hear it.

I put in a new purolator air filter from pep boys today.

It was like a new truck thought I had a turbo under there. It sounded louder too.

I'm fucking joking. This thread got tarded I can't believe people still buy throttle body spacers and high flow filters.

Well whatever it is, the noise coming out of the exhaust is louder and awesomer!
