Just read through it and watched the videos. So you only do the workout once a week?

i.e. Week 1: PB back, Week 2: PB legs, Week 3: PB chest

to replace your usual back, legs, and chest workout?

If anyone cares for an update on me I've lost about 7 pounds in a month which I'm a little disappointed with because I thought I was going to drop all my water weight immediately, as everyone does, but that hasn't seemed to happen. My diet is pretty much in check I haven't eaten any sugar the last month and maybe 5g's of fat a day. I have been eating whole grain rice, bread, and lean meats such as pork tenderloin chicken and turkey breast and top loin beef all with the fat cut off before cooking. Other than the lack of weight loss I've seen great improvements in my energy and lifting as I'm feeling much stronger but am still a little weakling. My mile run's are now around a consistent 9-10 minutes. I do my cardio's after lifting is there anything I can do better to help drop the weight quicker? I can't really cut out any more food because as is I'm around 2500 calories, 50g protein, 30g of carbs, 5g fat from olive oil or the like a day. My water intake is pretty much unchanged from about 1/2 to 3/4 of a gallon a day.

What are ur total carbs/fat/protein count daily?
Reference cardio: can u do it fasted in AM? I'd also recommend HIIT sessions. 30-40mins max. 1 min steady 1 all out -repeat

I'm cutting fat I don't really care about weight, like you said, I want a low fat %. I'd like to be at a lean 200lbs or so I'm at ~254 now.
I'm thinking of doing a 20-30 sesh of cardio in the morning before class because getting up an extra half hour shouldn't be to bad, first class at 9:30 everyday with a 20 minute drive, and my father has been bugging the piss out of me to do so. I couldn't tell you exactly what the daily intake is but I'd say around 30-40g carbs, 10g fat, and 60-70g protein a day.

It's a rough number but in that neighbor hood I believe, I'm going to start tracking everything better. I hate getting to early for everything but fishing.

THE BEST SECRET OF LOSING FAT = BURNING MORE CALORIES THAN YOU INTAKE. A simple secret.... go for a run or walk instead of watching tv.

No coach just myself doing old workouts I did in high school. I'll keep track this week of what I eat so that you can get a real picture of what I eat.

Man u need a coach for guidance/evals. How do u even function off of that? I can almost guarantee u r burning more muscle then any fat and ur body is holding onto the fat for reserves. The only time I'm that low on carbs is
    1-carb depleting for photos/shows
    2-show day

Even then my protein it uppers 200's and fats around 30-40g per day. Find somebody to get u back on track man.

I'd like to post a little update. Been training for the Bataan Death March in White Sands, New Mexico for 5 months now. My 12 mile ruck time with 50lbs has gone from 4:30 hours to 2 hours/50 minutes. My two mile run time has suffered by exactly 30 seconds (13:30 to 14:00). Push ups have stayed the same (88 in 2 min), sit ups are usual weak sauce (70 in 2 min). Banging out 18 pull ups a set. What's my concern you may ask? The Bataan Death March is 26.2 miles. Are furthest training march was 17.2 @45lbs. The event weight is 35lbs. Given the distance is there any advice out there I can get as far as maintaining carbs/electrolytes outside of 2:1 water to powerade, and a power bar every hour and a half?? Anything else to fight fatigue? I would like to do the event with resting only at the 10 mile and 20 mile check points. Thanks in advance for any contributions :D

with proper motivation and determination he can succed with out a coach...

he can keep track of his own progress and eval himself... a training partner or another person to keep accountability of his progress is key, but hiring a coach or trainer is not required

as a personal trainer i feel my job it to put myself out of a job because if all this stuff it truly a "lifestyle" change, then i need to give that person the tools they need to be successful for the rest of their life, because i sure as shit will not be training them forever
