    I got a 4' firestik firefly and shit tuned very well! I got great reception and as far as I know people can hear me well to. :) cb is crucial for running around dunes and similar areas. Race/ham radio for running dez...my next electronic purchase ;)

    I ran a separte ground from mount plate down to frame, bad boy will tune just fine!

    I did, still nada. I'm thinking the antenna is messed up. I even have it mounted to the only metal piece at the rear of the bed.

    im bringing a coax cable that goes from the CB to the SWR meter. its like a foot long. someone else has to bring the actual meter

    Hmm, make sure u have the washers(nylon and metal) in the right order/spots. That can severely affect it. The bed on second gens is all plastic so if it is metal where u mounted it, does that metal touch frame or not? Have to ground it to frame if not. U could always head to a local shop and ask sone questions or ask them to tune it. Cost me like $20 if iirc. Worth a shot.

    nope! hahaha. well i mean you have to tune it but thats all. i didnt deal with the whole firestick thing cause i didnt want to deal with grounding it and finding the right place to mount it and what not. i just take that magnet off whenever i want and it looks normal :D
